CAE continues to rely on Barco projectors to power the next generation of its CAE 7000 XR Series full-flight simulators

Atlanta, GA USA, 3 December 2019 – Barco, a global leader in visualization technology, is proud to announce that CAE has selected the FL40-4K projector to power the next-generation of projection devices for its CAE 7000 XR Series full-flight simulators for civil aviation. This selection further fosters the collaboration between the two leaders and allows CAE to benefit from the many advantages of the FL40-4K. This projector, representing the state-of-the-art in single chip DLP projection, uses the latest in solid-state LED illumination and is driven by the powerful Barco Pulse electronics and image processing package.

"Barco has proven to be a trusted partner for many years, and we are pleased to take this next step with them," says Marc St-Hilaire, Vice-President, Technology and Innovation at CAE. High image quality, low total cost of ownership

Barco’s solid-state illumination projectors like the FL40 offer the world’s most stunning images at native WQXGA and 4K (3840 x 2400) resolution. With the high frame rate processing and integrated adjustable SRP™ Smear Reduction Processing of Barco Pulse, smooth, fast-moving images are assured. Using no lamps or other consumables, and providing 50,000 hours LED lifetime and 24/7 operation, the FL40 offers the lowest total cost of ownership for a projector and highest price/performance rating available.

“CAE is a global leader in training solutions, and highly respected for the quality and precision of their systems,” says Dave Fluegeman, VP, Simulation at Barco. “Their customers demand the highest performing simulators possible, and as a critical supplier and partner to CAE, we take that very seriously.
